Considered to be the last wildlife area of Europe, the Delta Danube Biosphere Reserve is a paradise of nature, which keeps a significant variety of species of fish and birds. Delta is an extraordinary mix of cultures, fishing villages and ancient traditions. It is a favorite destination of holiday in Romania. We propose a particular way to the explore this area - a cruise in the Delta Danube with catamaran. For 2 days we will sail, most of the time, on narrow channels and lakes and we will see the attractions of the area. The catamaran has a maximum capacity of 12 seats but for your comfort, we recommend groups of 6 - max. 8 people. It offers an 360 degrees visibility, provides a smoothly and comfortably transport, and is equipped with a toilet.
A catamaran boat is the perfect way to discover this area with all its beauties. This boat can navigate the narrow channels without noise and we will be getting closer to birds or other animals. The beauty of the Delta consists in the labyrinth of small channels, islands, lakes, more quiet and less visited areas. It will be a real expedition in the Danube Delta, an experience and an unforgettable memory.

After 3-4 hours of navigation, we reach the fishermen’s village Mila 23.
Usually, we first meet the pelicans to welcome us! Then it’s our hosts term! Locals are hardworking people but with an exuberant hospitality, happy to see other people after the long and lonely days of winter. We take over the rooms for accommodation and … Lunch Time! They are good cooks and in time, have learned that not all people eat fish and have carefully prepared, dishes for vegetarians, vegans or people with allergies. We honestly advise: Do not miss the fish dishes! They are traditionally cooked and it’s a must to taste them. The custom site is the husband, a fisherman, to bring the fresh fish and wife to show her culinary talent seeking the satisfaction in the guest’s looks!

With a little attention you can see "Rollers" and "Bee Eaters" beside other species of birds that seem to prefer this area. After crossing the beautiful channel Bogdaproste, we are in front of Lake Bogdaproste. We’ll notify immediately the transition from narrow in general to large, the nets of fishermen and pastel colors of the lake.In this area of lakes Bogdaproste and 3 Iezere we admire the beautiful sunset that will join us until the destination in Mila 23.
